Every Child is Entitled to an Education!
The Hero After-school Centre (HAC) is an enterprise started for refugee children; low-income students; latchkey kids and other children of concern in MALAYSIA.
"It’s the belief that what we do matters even though how and when it may matter, who and what it may impact, are not things we can know beforehand. We may not, in fact, know them afterward either, but they matter all the same!"

~ Rebecca Solnit
"A child should be allowed to take as long as she needs for knowing everything about herself, which is the same as learning to be herself. Even twenty-five years if necessary, or even forever. And it wouldn’t matter if doing things got delayed, because nothing is really important but being oneself."
~ Laura Riding

Evan Wong packs a powerful kick!
Malaysia is a multi-cultural haven for the locals and tourists alike. Boasting magnificent tropical islands and rain-forests, it is indeed the whole of Asia in one small country! The government has been extremely generous in allowing refugees from all over the world to transit here and although short-staffed and virtually on the brink of not being able to manage the influx, Malaysia is a safe place for all. Temporary setbacks are inasmuch part and parcel of any such scenario and one main concern is that the children are as yet unable to be placed in the local schools due to lack of National Registered Identity Cards (NRIC) and so a few learning centres and shelters run not-for-profit have mushroomed up around the peninsular. We are looking the prospect of setting up more such centres  for the current remaining thousands of little ones and their elder siblings to obtain an adequate education in the face of the current bureaucratic system. Your monetary contributions are the foundation we require to get the ball rolling and to keep all systems going. May the good Lord reward you kindly for any donations sent herewith, and surely the Creator of All Good always keeps Promises!
